The unit price is just the start
The number you see on the listing is the pool itself. To get swimming you also need to budget for getting it to your yard, setting it down, and hooking it up.
Delivery & placement
These pools are heavy. Freight delivery plus a crane or heavy equipment to lift the unit into place is a real line item — get local quotes, because access to your yard drives this cost a lot.
Site prep
You need a level, load-rated base — typically a reinforced concrete pad or engineered gravel base. This is not the place to cut corners; the pad carries tons of water.
Plumbing, electrical & extras
Pump, filter, and optional heater need plumbing and a proper electrical circuit — usually a licensed electrician. Add a cover, ladder/steps, and fencing to meet local safety codes.
Ongoing costs
Factor in chemicals, electricity to run the pump/heater, and winterizing if you're in a cold climate. A cover pays for itself in reduced evaporation and heating costs.
