The short version
Choose the Ultra XTR (rectangular) if you want to swim laps or fit a family, and you have the flat, rectangular space for it. Choose the UltraLuxe (round) if you want the most hands-off, tech-assisted upkeep and a footprint that drops into more yards.
Shape and swimming
Rectangular pools like the XTR give you a real swim lane — better for exercise and for a lot of people at once. Round pools like the UltraLuxe are more about lounging and cooling off; you can't swim a straight length, but they fit awkward yards more easily.
Filtration and water care
Both come with sand filter pumps and saltwater systems, so day-to-day water quality is strong on either. The UltraLuxe pulls ahead on convenience: a Wi-Fi dual sand filter pump and a water analyzer automate more of the testing and scheduling, which is a real perk if you dread water chemistry.
Which size and who it's for
The XTR comes in sizes up to a huge 36′ × 18′, so it scales from a normal backyard to near-in-ground scale. The UltraLuxe round set is best for buyers who prioritize low effort and smart features over lap length.
